Keech recognised by manufacturers as Australia’s Most Innovative Company

Bendigo design and manufacturing company Keech Australia has won the Endeavour Award for Most Innovative Company in Australia.

The award was announced last night at a gala ceremony in Sydney, with the judges commenting “Keech Australia stays true to its principle of continuous innovation, finding solutions to current challenges, anticipating future needs and rolling out new products to benefit its customers worldwide.”

In accepting the Award, Keech CEO Dr Herbert Hermens said the recognition was a just reward for the company’s investment in innovative technologies and its focus on research and development.

“Innovation is our focus and this is reflected throughout our entire organisation. Our Innovation and Quality Centre is a central hub for collaboration by our metallurgists, scientists, innovators, patternmakers and QA specialists. We’ve sourced this team from the world’s best, and they work together developing new products to combat issues our customers experience in the field, and to continuously improve existing products and processes,” said Dr Hermens.

“We use sophisticated reverse engineering, additive manufacturing and digital design technology to support our mining customers. We are using the world’s most powerful 3D printer to create concept models, functional prototypes and manufacture end-use parts, and we are just about to officially launch an exciting new initiative in advanced manufacturing.”

Now in its eleventh year the Endeavour Awards, run by leading industry publication, Manufacturers’ Monthly, saw a record number of entries – nearly twice the amount submitted last year. Keech triumphed over some stiff competition. Organisations including Woods Furniture, ModWood Technologies, Cyber Technology, Seeley International, Austube Mills, Mexx Engineering and Sevaan Group were finalists for the Innovative Company Award. Keech Australia was also a finalist in the Environmental Solutions Award category, won by Longwarry Food Park.

Keech Australia produces high integrity steel castings for both national and international mining, excavating, construction, agricultural, rail transport and defense industries. The company was recognised for its achievements and goals for the future, including:
